What is AAAASF Accreditation?
AAAASF accreditation is granted to surgery centers based on their demonstrated ability to uphold hospital standards within the outpatient and office-based healthcare environments. Established in 1980, AAAASF was founded with the aim of establishing consistent and elevated standards for medical and surgical care delivered in outpatient facilities.
What Criteria Must Be Met To Attain AAAASF Accreditation?
- Successfully pass a rigorous inspection process.
- Maintain a suitable Medical Director along with physicians actively practicing within the facility.
- Ensure that surgeons possess hospital privileges for each procedure they perform within their onsite outpatient facility.
- Provide the presence of an anesthesia professional who administers deeper levels of anesthesia during procedures on-site.
